Funniest presentation at Ignite London

Now this took some skill to complete, even without notes!  Best not be eating whilst watching this if you have a weak tummy as Matthew Baker takes us through a rhyme about bacteria & doner.

First Ever Ignite London – 7 videos now live #igniteLDN

If you couldn’t tell by the numerous tweets on Wednesday I was at the first ever Ignite London which was a blast.  Great speakers giving 5 minute presentation, great organisation from Amy & Dan of BoxUK, which also supplied the open bar for the evening.  Now that’s a way to kick off an event and were ever so grateful.

I filmed the event and am uploading the HD videos during non-throttling ISP periods, so I’m trying to average 3 videos a night.  As said previously if I get the nod from everyone involved I will consider making this a podcast on the iTunes & Zune platform but with a more professional touch.

The vimeo channel for Official Ignite London videos can be found here: http://vimeo.com/channels/ignitelondon

For a quick overview of everything that is available they can be viewed by the albums page: http://vimeo.com/album/147178

If you do get hooked on vimeo like me then feel free to subscribe to the channel so you can be informed of the latest uploads from the event.  Another option is to follow it via the RSS feed if Google Reader/Bloglines etc. is your thing.  Also please leave comments on individual videos or just in the shoutbox it will hopefully get everyone noticed and I’m sure the speakers & organisers will appreciate it.

I hope to get more involved in the future and maybe even give a 5 minute presentation.  I really do hope this becomes a regular event and more sponsors come on board.  Plus you can’t beat an old converted victorian loo as a venue.

Bunny & the Bull Film Review

In the past week I was invited to a blogger’s screening of this film, I’m always delighted to review films especially when they are on par with the likes of 500 Days of Summer which was my last viewing :D

Bunny & The Bull is one of those odd films where you feel you can relate with it but on a subliminal level. The director Paul King seems to conjure up surreal images in the literal form of ever expanding worlds, set entirely in a flat. Be prepared for The Mighty Boosh feel on the skin, but underneath lies a great heart-warming film with the story of love, disillusionment and some jokes which will leave you cringing for weeks after seeing the film.

The main character Stephen Turnball (Edward Hogg) is shown to have the >> >> >> »
