I’ve managed to get a temporary job working for something we all get for free throughout our lives, it’s reasonable pay just under £9/hour starting today. It was sweet that the company I worked for last year said they’d love to have me back at an increase in pay of an extra quid per hour but I needed something better suited for my CV and proper job applications. I’m being very vague as I don’t know how things are going to turn out and I don’t really want to say anything until I get my foot in the door for interviews. So this job is so far the highest I’ve been paid for. Not even that prospect has swayed me to buy George Michael tickets for his final show, I mean who on earth in their sane mind would spend £100 (all donations of tickets or monies to the “chichard41 isn’t bakla but likes a good dance and make an arse out of himself tomfoolery fund” would be much appreciated).
My weight has been fluctuating madly during and since the exams. I managed to get down to 12-4 during them, due to anxiety, stress or whatever. But from that point onwards I seemed to scoff myself with the “piggy portions” and have shot back up to 13-0, which is a bit worrying as I’ve always tried to avoid hitting that point. Oh well, plenty more cycling and maybe a bit of golf or something I haven’t done in a while should help hurry things along.
All suited and booted now to make the compulsory first good impression, have been reading their protocols and it may be that we’re not allowed mobile phones, actually pretty much anything. Now let’s hope that they actually keep data encrypted, because I sure as hell won’t be leaving anything on any train, feckin idiots. Anyway Saturday should be nice for the Flickr meet, me wanty buttons and stickers, always one for a freebie.
